When did you start unicycling and why:

In 2008 one of my best friends from Hungary came to live in my house in Washington D.C as an exchange student.  He brought a unicycle in his suitcase and I watched him practicing in our driveway.  I started on April 26, 2008 because I asked my parents if I could have a unicycle for my birthday and I started riding that day – and nearly every day since then!  I tried different styles for the first year and a half and I then realized Trials was the right style of riding for me.

Why do you like to ride:

Riding is my freedom, I can go out the door and push my balance to the edge on whatever is in front of me, a rock, a wall, playground – anything.  I have gained many friends from so many countries because of unicycling – it’s great to be part of a sport that is taking off so well.
