When did you start unicycling and why:

I started unicycling in the 8th grade after trying it at school. A guidance counselor had ten or so unicycles and would take each class out and let them try to ride. I tried it for the first time in the 5th grade with this teacher. I bought a cheap unicycle that summer and eventually learned to ride in 8th grade. I really enjoyed the feeling of being on one wheel. It is a free feeling that I had only felt in Telemark skiing.

Why do you like to ride:

For a lot of reasons. The challenge, the fun, and just wanting to be different. Unicycling has a lot of potential and it should be viewed more mainstream than it is right now.
