The Sym cranks are an experiment in a new type of street and flat crank. Originally conceived by the Austrian rider Wolfgang Hennerbichler, these cranks have a 30 mm tube extending on the opposite side from the crank arm. This extension gives unprecedented stability for tricks requiring standing on one or both cranks.

Shaun Johanneson has this to say about the Sym cranks:
Pros:

  • Fast flips
  • Great static flatland moves
  • Interesting looking grinds
  • Easier Blind slides (for me)
  • More area to land unispins

Cons:

  • Not as good for crankrolls
  • The extension can get caught in jeans

They're really good cranks, one must wear shorts and watch their ankles
but after that they're solid. Flips go quickly and some interesting grinds
can happen…

Available in 130 mm length.
